HISTORY AND CHARISM
The first Oblates were lay brothers without vows, prepared to give their service to the parish priests as assistants to the youth, catechists and sacristans. Afterwards, some of them dedicated themselves to ecclesiastical studies and became priests, giving new services to the local church as spiritual procurators of poor parishes, preachers of popular missions and especially confessors.
